Your homework is to research pavement art. Then you must either write a paragraph (with a picture) .....or .........make a short PowerPoint presentation (not more than 4 slides) on a pavement artist you like.

Here are the websites for you to look at to learn more about what pavement art is:

Dear all Year 3 Parents,
As I am sure you are all aware, the year 3 children are doing the production of the Lion King on the 21st March this year.
We want it to be a fabulous show and to help the kids, we need a team of willing helpers to produce costumes and stage sets.
I have been through all the ideas in detail with Miss Ruth and we are now ready to start all the hard work.
The more helpers we have the easier it will be.... and the better the results ....so please join us... There may even be the odd glass of wine along the way to enhance our creative talents.

We have arranged an initial meeting at Evita cafe on Friday 22nd... At 8am after drop off.

Please come and find out all about the help required.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE CREATIVE.... WE JUST NEED LOTS OF EXTRA HANDS.

Looking forward to seeing you all.

The Sleepover

The activities included:

circle games

dodge ball
football
party games
art
The children enjoyed either pizza or fish and chips for dinner. Then it was setting up bed time. The children worked cooperatively to set up and pump up beds. Then the children went to brush teeth and it was all excitement. Ms Andrea read 3 bedtime stories on the big screen. Then it was into sleeping bags and a light show with torches as the lights went down. Then lights out for bed.

                                        Pizza or fish and chips?

We recently worked with our Year 6 buddy class. They came along to our room and helped us to write our own fruity shape poem. Poems were either about banana, watermelon or orange (all fruits tasted on previous day). Our Year 6 buddies helped us with ideas and also making sure we included the following in our poems:

rhyme, alliteration, adjectives, verbs, humour

More work with Mr Pat

3N have been enjoying being taught by our Artist in Residence 'Mr Pat Bradbury'. We have 2 - 45 minute sessions on a Monday and Friday and so far the children have enjoyed the following: still life drawing of musical instruments, cubist deconstruction art, making a collage. They will soon learn how to screen print and use their creative designs to make repeat prints.
