Milepost 2 Learning Letter Year 3 18^th April 2013

 This week we have:

• Started a new English unit on information texts.
• Continued our Maths unit on solving problems.
• Began a new IPC unit on chocolate.
• Found out about magnets and what happens when they are put close together.

Next week we will be...

• Investigating which materials are magnetic.
• Learning about the discovery of chocolate.
• Finding out how to take notes for research.

Stars of the Week

There were no Stars of the Week as last week was a school holiday. Stars of the Week will recommence next week.

 Notices

• There is no homework this week due to the national holiday.
• The DVD of The Lion King production will go on sale on Monday 22^nd April (100,000 VND from the school cashier). Please see the letter sent home today for full details.

Giong Ong To Visit BIS

This term the Year 3 children will be meeting and visiting our community link school. Our link school is the Giong Ong To School which is a local Vietnamese School in District 2. Today the children from the 'GOT' school came to visit us at BIS. They were grouped into small groups and were challenged to firstly get to know a little bit about their new friends and secondly to make a tower out of straws. Here are some pictures of us in action.
